In May 2025, the Division of Chemical Digitalization was established within the organizational framework of the Hungarian Chemical Society (MKE). This nationwide professional forum aims to promote the advancement of digitalization in the chemical industry, with particular focus on applications in the pharmaceutical and food sectors.
Within the division, the Pharmaceutical and Food Industry Digitalization Working Group focuses specifically on sector-specific challenges. The initiative is supported by leading industrial and academic stakeholders, including the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology at BME (Budapest University of Technology and Economics), the pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturer EUROAPI, and the chemical digitalization solutions provider Stylers Group.
The division’s goal is to support the domestic adoption and practical implementation of cutting-edge technologies — such as machine learning, predictive maintenance, digital twins, and intelligent process design — through community-based, open collaborations.
