The digitalization of the chemical industry is no longer just a technological challenge—it is one of the key drivers of competitiveness and sustainable operation. Often, digitalization sits at the intersection of research & development and industrial implementation: while R&D projects may be eligible for specific funding programs, industrial realization requires convincing decision-makers and proving return on investment.
The aim of this event is to support participants in identifying suitable funding instruments and building compelling business cases to demonstrate the ROI of digitalization investments. Together with our invited experts, we will address questions such as:
How can we determine whether a project is ready for industrial implementation or still requires further development?
What funding opportunities and strategic approaches can support this process?
Which key performance indicators (KPIs) are most effective in proving the business value of digital projects?
How can “soft” benefits—like faster decision-making or improved transparency—be communicated persuasively?
What industry examples show that digitalization delivers real economic value?
During the event, a practical methodology will also be presented that enables the business impacts of digitalization initiatives to be assessed and showcased in a measurable way.
After the presentations, participants will be invited to share their experiences and best practices, so everyone leaves with tangible insights and ideas. The event is organized by the Hungarian Chemical Society – Division of Chemical Digitalization, in collaboration with its partners EUROAPI, Stylers Group and Protechtor.
